I've wiped down our stove with a wet rag after using it since starting our apartment lease in August, but I just realized I should clean it more seriously to prevent any future incredibly stubborn spots, since we have some already.
I've cleaned it with Barkeeper's Friend, which seems similar to Ajax and Comet, then used glass top stove cleaner to buff it to a shine. I used a scrapper to remove large crusty spots, but there are still circle stains that border around the burners. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but since we are moving out in July, I would like to start working to get it in "like new" condition, which is how it was when we moved in. The stains are too thin to use with a scrapper, but too stubborn for Barkeeper's Friend to do anything to. Any suggestions?Cleaning burner stain circles on black glass top stove?
There is a product called Weiman's Glass Top Cleaner. It comes in a black and white bottle. I can't remember if you'll find it in the regular cleaning supply aisle. Maybe it's near Barkeepers Friend. Anyway, this works the best at removing those types of stains. Sometimes even still there is a faint shadow after it has been cooked on for long periods of time. From here on out use the Weiman after each spill and also on a weekly basis.Cleaning burner stain circles on black glass top stove?
Stop you are destroying the top. You can only use Ceramic Glass top polish and the special scrubber for glass top stoves. You destroy that stove and a replacement will be 2500
