Where can I find a good pastrami burger in Texas?

Just came back from LA and had the dining experience of a lifetime... Yes folks... I had a pastrami burger... 1/3lb of beef with all the trimmings, several layers of pastrami topped with thousand island dressing...

I'm SURE there's got to be some burger joints/diner's around texas that serves pastrami burgers like that...Where can I find a good pastrami burger in Texas?
Lol, when I read your question I knew you had to have recently visited LA and I know what you're looking for. There are even places that put pastrami in a tortilla and than fry the whole thing up.

Try the Dairy-Ette at 9785 Ferguson in Dallas. It's an old drive-in with really good milk shakes. They have the burger/pastrami sandwich you are looking for.

I don't think the other people understood what you are looking for.

Happy eating!
elliott 'n muppet . . . thanks for the discussion . . . definitely piqued my appetite. schlotzsky's serves similar . . . but i think not as good as that LA joynt sounds.

Cindi's New York Deli and Bakery is rapidly becoming one of the favorite stopping places in Dallas. The menu is extensive, offering everything from pancakes, pigs in a blanket, potato pancakes, and waffles, to omelettes, delicious sandwiches including patty melts, pastrami, corned beef, hearty soups, stews, hamburger steaks, spaghetti, fish platters and more. Don't miss our great pastries and cakes, as well as our chewy New York style bagels, voted "Best Bagels in Dallas" by several magazines. Very much like the coffee or pancake house that was popular in the 50's and 60's. Cozy and comfortable, it's got the relaxed feel of both a southern diner and a New York deli...
