How much spending money do we need to have fun in NYC?

My adult daughter %26amp; I are going in July for 7 days, Sheraton Times Sq hotel %26amp; Broadway show tickets are paid for. Need cab from Laguardia, Hop On/Off bus, subway pass %26amp; tips for entire trip. Will go to China Town, Little Italy, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire St. Bldg, Top of Rock, Ground Zero, Carriage ride through Central Park, Carmines, Serendipity, Burger Joint, and other typical tourist spots, including a couple nice restaurants. Don't plan on doing too much shopping. Will $1,500 be enough for the 2 of us or should I plan on more?How much spending money do we need to have fun in NYC?
Your trip sounds like a lot of fun. We were there a few years ago for 3 days. I would estimate between $100-$125 per day per person. I do not believe $1500 will be enough.
I would plan for quite a bit more if you want to do everything you said out to do.



I would call in advance on what the average cost of tickets. And the cost of all the sites you want to see. Call restaurants the ones you want to eat at and ask what the average for two meals, drinks and tip normally run. Once you have a figure I would bring an extra couple of hundred just in case you missed something or something unexpected came up that you want to do. From a resident you should definitely plan on bringing more especiallly if you plan on eating. what you just listed could probobly cost you around 2500.

Lots. At least DOUBLE what you are planning on taking. NYC is EXPENSIVE as the devil. Don't be caught short.
