I'm in Long Island for work weekly and am only fairly familiar with the area...I'm looking for some ideas for places to go at night to eat/drink. I'm near Smithtown. I'm looking for everything from fine dining to simple bars to get a burger and beers, and everything in between (including any good "party" areas with a younger crowd and maybe a variety of bars). I'm also interested in places (nice or casual) that have nice patios to enjoy the weather - on the water (either side of the Island) would be great too but not necessary. Basically I'm looking for a lot of options because I'll be here very often over the next 6 months and it would be nice to always have something in mind. I've done searches but haven't had much luck getting a lot of information in one place, let alone any sort of review on places.
Note: I've already been to Prime, Pace's, Danford's (Port Jefferson), Fisherman's Catch (near Jones Beach), Butera's...while they are all good, I'd like new options.
Thanks in advance!Bars and restaurants on Long Island?
If you're near Smithtown, have you tried the Oak Street Inn? Nice atmosphere with a bar.
While Butera's is good, Steve's Piccola Bussola (Syosset, Italian - Family Style) is great Italian food. Bring a bunch of friends and share.
For a great burger, All American in Massapequa (outside seating only). Another great spot is Taby's (Oyster Bay). Oyster Bay is also home to Canterbury Ales; another fine pub with good pub food (not to mention beer).
For places by the water, there's a relatively new restaurant at Tobay Beach (south shore, 5 miles east of Jones Beach).
As for party areas with a variety of bars with a younger crowd, Huntington has lots of clubs and bars and a pretty good night life. Long Beach (a bit further away) isn't bad either.
I havent any word to appreciate this post.....Really i am impressed from this post....the person who create this post it was a great human..thanks for shared this with us.
